What We Do
My office is in Bellevue, Washington, in the NSC (Safe Deposit) Building. Most of my cases are family law and personal injury cases, with other civil litigation as well. I do most of my own work but, depending on the case, may bring in assistants or associate with other attorneys. There are no guarantees in any court case, but I can give you a pretty good idea up-front of probable outcomes. I pursue cases aggressively, but I don’t like to spend your money on simply fighting for the sake of fighting. You and I will discuss the strategy and tactics for each case.
I was admitted to the Bar in 1994, and have been practicing ever since. I am a WSTLA Eagle, of course. I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association; the King County Bar Association; the Snohomish County Bar Association; the East King County Bar Association; and the South King County Bar Association. I only practice in Washington State.
Fees and costs depend on the case. Personal injury cases, and some other cases, are done on a contingency fee basis, where I take a percentage of the recovery. Family law cases are always done on an hourly rate. The total amount a case will cost depends on the case. Most of the time, a divorce case (or other family law case) follows a fairly predictable process, and I can give you a pretty good idea up-front what that process is, and how much your case will end up costing you. But again, that depends a lot on the type of case, and what the issues are. The amount a case costs depends on how much each side wants to fight, and there are no guarantees. I do need a retainer up-front for non-contingency fee cases, and I expect the balance to be paid each month. I take Visa and Mastercard, of course.
